Psychoeducational Assessment

Family Walking Beach

Clear answers about learning, attention, executive functioning, behavior, and school performance.

When learning, attention, behavioral, or emotional concerns are affecting school and daily life, it can be difficult to know what is happening or what support will help.

A psychoeducational evaluation brings the pieces together. It identifies patterns of strengths and needs, clarifies the factors contributing to current challenges, and provides practical recommendations for home, school, and daily life.

Who This Is For

An evaluation may be helpful when concerns include:

  • Learning struggles that don’t match effort (reading, writing, math, attention, or executive functioning)

  • Emotional overwhelm, anxiety, shutdowns, or frequent escalation

  • Ongoing homework battles or school avoidance

  • Mixed feedback from school (“bright but inconsistent,” “capable but not producing,” “not meeting potential”)

  • Uncertainty about whether ADHD, dyslexia, giftedness, processing differences, or emotional factors may be involved

  • Questions about appropriate supports, accommodations, intervention priorities, or next steps.

What You Receive

Your assessment is designed to clarify how your child learns, processes information, and responds to academic and emotional demands. Depending on the referral questions, your assessment may include:

  • Psychoeducational testing tailored to the referral questions

  • A clear, strengths-based interpretation of results
    (in plain language)

  • A detailed written report

  • A results conference to review findings and answer questions

  • Practical recommendations you can implement at home and share with school

  • Support planning for accommodations and school communication (as appropriate)

What Makes This Different

This process is not just about testing and producing a report. It is designed to create clarity and direction, with findings translated into practical next steps for home, school, and daily life.

  • A clearer understanding of what’s driving challenges

  • A practical plan for next steps (not just information)

  • Increased confidence advocating for support

Evaluation Options & Investment

Evaluations are tailored to the questions being addressed and the scope of work required. Focused evaluations address specific concerns and typically start at $2,400. Comprehensive evaluations examine a broader range of learning, attention, executive functioning, behavioral, and emotional factors and start at $5,500.

After an initial conversation, you will receive a personalized scope and cost estimate before deciding whether to proceed.
